Solar: The home had a 3-phase electrical service (commercial grade), requiring careful configuration of residential solar and battery products for compatibility.

Roofing/Aesthetics: The clients desired an aesthetically pleasing solar installation for the portion of the roof facing their private airplane runway. After considering Tesla Solar Roof, they opted for CertainTeed's Solstice Solar Roof tiles. A significant challenge was that this was the first project of its kind in the Chicagoland area.

Installation of a comprehensive system including CertainTeed Belmont IR Roofing, 54kW of CertainTeed 440-watt Solar panels, 21.42kW of CertainTeed Solstice Solar Roof tiles, and Renon's ECube 60kWh Battery storage, expertly configured to meet the unique electrical and aesthetic requirements.

• The system saves the clients approximately 100,000 kWh per year from the local utility company.
• This translates to approximately 67 metric tons of CO2 avoided annually, equivalent to not burning approximately 7,500 gallons of gasoline.

• Over 25 years, this is comparable to taking 16 gas-operated cars off the road each year, totaling 400 cars over the system's lifetime.
• The environmental impact is also equivalent to 28,000 tree seedlings grown over a 10-year period or 1,680 acres of average US forest sequestering CO2 for one year.
